I have been a Product Designer at Synapse Medicine for over a year, and I have helped design and shape MedGPT with the team since its launch. It quickly became the most widely used medical AI in France and is now expanding across Europe. MedGPT is available on desktop, as widgets embedded in hospital and pharmacy software, and as an app. The design team is two to four product designers and one brand designer.

Here are a few features we have built on MedGPT. They are only highlights: our scope is wider and still growing, so this page is a work in progress.
Scientific publications
On a complex case, official guidelines are sometimes not enough, and an answer has to be backed by evidence. So we added an option in the question field that extends MedGPT's sources beyond the official guidelines to a selection of:
- Peer-reviewed journals
- Clinical trials
- Meta-analyses
It is switched on case by case, so the default answer stays grounded in the guidelines.

Conversation history
A search often carries over to the next day, and rewriting the question and its context wastes time. So signed-in users keep their past conversations, on desktop and on mobile, and they can:
- Pick a search back up where they left off
- Find older exchanges by keyword
- Delete them one by one

Guided rephrasing
A question that can be read several ways risks a wrong answer. So when it detects an ambiguity, MedGPT asks one or two clarifying questions before answering, and the user can:
- Pick a suggestion
- Complete the request
- Skip the step
It only appears when there is an ambiguity, so a clear question is answered straight away.

Bonus: Liberté, Égalité, MedGPT
Not a product design project, but a fun one. For SantExpo 2026, Liam, our brand designer, built a brand campaign around sovereignty. The campaign rests on three points:
- Dependency
- Sources and influence
- Health data
I got to play the actor in the film. 🥷
